Sometimes it's the smallest things that we're thankful for. And by "smallest things" I'm thinking specifically of someone that weighs 5 ounces. Yesterday was an emotional roller coaster of a day for us. I went to my regular doctor's visit to make sure that all was going well, but my doctor was unable to find the baby's heartbeat. This was cause for concern for him so he had me in for an ultrasound within an hour's time. Let me tell you, many, many tears were shed during that hour and many, many prayers were said. It's amazing how attached to and in love with you can be with someone you haven't seen or felt before. But, praise the Lord, all was well. The ultrasound technician was able to see the heartbeat right away so there was much relief (and more tears, but these were tears of joy!). The baby was moving around a lot and even seemed to be waving to us at one point as though to say, "I'm fine; don't fret!" Here are some photos of our little looker that we got yesterday.
