I think Lainey had a great 5th birthday. She loved the hula hoop we got her and, by the end of the day, had a pretty good handle on just what she was supposed to do with it. Her hips need a bit more wiggle to them, but she's definitely making progress. Her party was simple and a little quieter this year as several of our friends with kids weren't able to make it, but she had a good time. One of her friends gave her a cowgirl dress and hat and she loved it! As soon as she put it on, she said, "Yee-haw!" So never fear, even though we're not in the South and she's a native Washingtonian, we're still raising her with a little country girl in her! Here are a few pictures from our day:
