The Zoo, An Only Child, and Some Awesome Cooking

Nonie and Diddy took Lainey and Sarah Grace to the zoo in Vancouver, BC today. It sounds like a good time was had by all and no one got left behind in Canada-always a good thing. I think we've had our last sunny day until Saturday. Sarah Grace asked tonight if we were going to see the sun again and why did the sun go in? As though it didn't want to play anymore and had gone inside to rest.

While Lainey and Sarah Grace were off at the zoo, Abs and I went to Walmart. I had forgotten just how easy it is to go shopping with just one baby. Compared to three, it's a piece of cake! I even had time to just look at things, something I'm never able to do when I have them all with me as someone usually has to go to the bathroom, somebody's pulling stuff off the shelves if I put the cart too close (which is a must unless I want to meet oncoming traffic in the aisle), or someone is throwing a fit about us not getting something they've seen that we just have to have! It's usually an adventure and I was thankful for the downtime today! I'm excited about the things I found Lainey for her birthday and I think she will be too!

As I was cooking supper tonight, Sarah Grace came in and asked what we were having for supper. I told her we were having chicken pot pie and she said, "Are we having macaroni awesome?" Translation: Are we having macaroni also? I prefer awesome I think and may start using it to describe all of my cooking, especially stuff I'm not sure the girls will eat. "It's broccoli awesome!" "It's rice awesome!" We'll see how that works out!
