We took the girls to see Wall-E today and had a great time. I'm not sure if they were more excited about the movie or the large bag of popcorn and lemonade we all consumed. Lon, not being a popcorn eater, got some Nestle Crunch candy. Lainey asked what it was and we told her it was Daddy's popcorn. She asked to try some a little later and when she did she said, "Hmm, that's a little different." I think she was really expecting to have some sort of popcorn and was surprised to find it was chocolate. Abs did good during the movie and slept part of the time and was quiet for the rest. One of the benefits of nursing is being able to feed wherever you find yourself! Also, since the theater was so dark, I took advantage and changed her diaper there as well, but made sure to tell her, "This is the only time it's okay to have your pants off in a movie theater!" Also, I was reminded why we don't go to the movies very often when we had to take out a small loan to pay for the tickets and the snacks. I was afraid we might have to trade in Lainey for the tub of popcorn, but we managed to get by without it coming to that! I was grateful for a little birthday money that we put towards the cause!
I asked Lainey this morning why she hung the ribbons and Legos up on her bed last night and she said, "I just like for things to be pretty." She also said later that it was for a party. Who knows what we might find when we check on them later!
