Just when I think there's nothing to write about today, Lainey comes through for me. I went in to check on them tonight after they'd been in bed for a while and this is what I found:
Now, in case you can't see too well, let me explain a little. She has taken some ribbons that were decorating a gift I got and has run those through the slats on the bed above them. She has then taken Legos and put them together with the ribbon running between them. Pretty smart, huh? Now, I don't know if these are party decorations or if she's fashioned some sort of alarm system to alert her in case Sarah Grace gets up too early. Last night when we went to check on them, we found something similar. She had a blanket hanging near the end of the bed and the ribbons hanging near her head. We asked her this morning why she did that and she said, "It's for Mama's surprise party!" We just never know what they're going to come up with next!
