Saturday in the Park

After a beautiful day and lots of playing outside, we took a picnic to the Blaine Marine Park for supper. The 133rd Army Band was there for a free concert. The girls really enjoyed it and were most excited about the picnic. All the way there they sang, "A picnic, a picnic!" When we arrived, the band performed the Star Spangled Banner so we showed the girls how to place their hands over their hearts while they played. Later on when they were playing another song we looked over at Sarah Grace and she had her hand over her heart again; Lon told her she didn't have to keep it there the whole time. They enjoyed eating outside and were most excited about the cupcakes we had for dessert. It really doesn't take much to delight them!

"I can't wait until I'm old enough for a cupcake too!"
