Stomach Bugs and Parades?

Some days it seems that bedtime just can't come soon enough. Today has been one such day. Lainey woke up with some sort of stomach bug at 3:00 which involved baths for both her and Sarah Grace, changing sheets, cleaning the bathroom, laying on a pallet on the floor with Lainey until she finally fell asleep at 5:00 and then having Abby and Sarah Grace get up before 7:00. Thankfully I am blessed with a husband who is great at helping at such tasks in the middle of the night thus making the work go that much faster. Needless to say, nap time was a welcome occurrence in the Graham home today. Thankfully, this bug seems to have been a very quick passing thing and Lainey has been fine the rest of the day. Now we pray that no one else gets it. Some of you may remember that we were all sick at the same time back in February and our prayer is that it NEVER happens again like that. Our home felt like death had walked in and taken over then.
Even in the times of sick children, we can find something to laugh about. As I took my shift on the floor with Lainey last night, she said to me, "Dad thinks this is a stomach bug. What's a stomach bug?" I told her it was just a germ that had gotten into her system and made her tummy hurt and made her throw up. Sarah Grace then spoke up and said, "Yeah, like a parade!" No clue where that came from, but at 4:15, I'm not up for a lengthy explanation. Who doesn't think of parades when their sister has just thrown up all over them in the bed? If that's not a time for flying flags and marching bands then I don't know when is!
Hopefully tomorrow will be better or will at least involve a full night's sleep for, as Scarlett says, "After all, tomorrow is another day!"
