Two Rules: Learn the Gospel at home and always take care of your Popsicles

This morning when we were getting ready for church, Lainey was getting her church bag ready and wanted to put a Gideon New Testament in along with her other Bible. I told her that she didn't need to take the New Testament with her and as she put it down, she said, "Yeah, I can learn the gospel at home!" I'm thankful she knows that she can indeed learn the gospel at home, but she still makes me laugh. Tonight I was trying to help the girls straighten up their room (translated "Mom was doing most of the work while the girls watched")and Lainey said, "Why do we need to clean up?" I said, "Well, it's good that we take care of our things. It's how we show that we appreciate them. It's good to take care of them so they'll last longer." Lainey said, "Yeah, especially Popsicles." I said, "Yeah, especially Popsicles." I have no idea what she was talking about, but sometimes it's just easier to agree than to ask for an explanation.
