Tonight we went to have dinner with the Blocks, our dear friends from church who have taken us in as part of their own family. We had a shrimp boil and it was great. It was one of those things that while I was eating it I thought, "Abby is not going to appreciate me tomorrow for having eaten this tonight, but it's so good, it's worth it!" So, we shall see how tomorrow goes. Lainey and Sarah Grace enjoyed playing with the Blocks' granddaugther Annalise who's not quite a year younger than Sarah Grace. She and Sarah Grace chased one another for quite a while around the island in the kitchen and giggled and had a great time. It makes my heart smile to see them all playing together. I hope they'll be friends for years to come. The Lord has been so good to bless us with friends that are like family and we love them dearly. I wonder if other pastors and their families feel the attachment to their church family that we feel to ours.

Abby discovered her feet earlier today. I went in to check on her once she woke up from her nap and found her with a foot in each hand and her feet up in the air. I can't wait until she discovers her toes and starts sucking on them! I couldn't get a picture of that, but I did get a picture of her relaxing in her crib during her nap.

Lainey told me another story tonight that was really cute. She'd been sent to time out and when she came out, she said, "I was telling you a story in there." I asked her to tell me about it and she said, "You know what it was about? A squid. And some bees." She said, "The bees dropped me on the honey. And when they saw me, they were glad with joy." She later said, "And the bees didn't sting me; they were off duty." She does make me laugh!
