Today was our Friday together filled with errand running, family time, and an ice cream sundae from
MacacDonald's. Lainey said this morning that she'd like to get a swimming pool. Thinking that it's near the end of the season and we might be able to find something on sale, I told her we'd look at Wal-mart. It's definitely the end of the season and things were on sale; unfortunately all they had left were one 18 foot pool and one 24 foot pool. The 24 foot pool was marked down from $600 to $500, not quite the steal I was looking for. I said, "Lainey, we can't get that because it costs too much." She said, "But I really want it." I said, "Well, it's $500 and that's too much money. How about we go and find a jump rope instead?" Her response, "OKAY!" So, we went from a $500 pool to a $3.00 jump rope with equal delight. Aren't kids great?

As we were riding around town, we could hear Lainey and Sarah Grace in the back singing and playing "Rock, Paper, Scissors". Sarah Grace won for sure and for certain when she said "Rock, Paper, School Bus". No clue where these kids come up with their stuff, but they do make us laugh!
